A Message from Dr. Kris Jonasson - Chiropractor
‘II began my educational journey at the University of Waterloo in Canada, where I earned an Honors Science degree in Physics. I’ve always been curious about how things work—how systems connect, interact, and influence each other. Funny enough, it was my own body that ended up teaching me one of the biggest lessons.
During my university years, for no apparent reason, I started getting headaches. At first I didn’t get them very often. As time went on, they became more and more frequent and much more severe. By the time I started college, I was so overwhelmed by intense migraine headaches that it made it nearly impossible to study.
In my case they came on slowly, over years, but they worsened to the point where I could barely function. Most of my time was spent lying down in a dark room, taking handfuls of over-the-counter medications. Eventually, I sought medical care, hoping for answers. To my disappointment, I was prescribed antidepressants. I remember thinking, “I’m not depressed—unless you count being depressed about these awful headaches.” I felt like giving up.
A friend of mine convinced me to give a chiropractor a try. The chiropractor did an exam, took some x-rays, and then “adjusted” my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt, it actually felt good. I got relief, and I finally felt like myself again. It felt great to throw away that bottle of pills.
I was blown away. Not only did I feel better, but I also felt heard for the first time. That experience completely changed the direction of my life.
I made the decision to leave physics behind and pursue chiropractic as a career. I enrolled at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota and graduated in 1999. Just a few months later, in January of 2000, I opened Health One Chiropractic right here in Thomasville, NC.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients over the past 25 years—from tiny newborns to great-grandparents. People have come through our doors from all around: Thomasville, Archdale, Lexington, Trinity, High Point, Denton, Wallburg—and beyond.

As one of the newest members of the team, Dr. Koby Jonasson has hit the ground running—connecting with patients right away and already making a big impact. His passion lies in general chiropractic care, and he’s been helping patients of all ages find relief from headaches, neck and arm pain, low back issues, and sciatica.
With a background as a high school quarterback and an avid golfer today, Dr. Koby brings a natural interest and deep understanding to sports chiropractic. He’s especially focused on helping athletes perform at their best—improving range of motion, preventing injury, and optimizing overall function.
Whether you’re a weekend warrior, a student-athlete, or someone simply looking to move and feel better, Dr. Koby’s blend of clinical skill and personal experience makes him a trusted partner in your care. He’s excited to grow with the practice and serve the community.

Associate Chiropractor
Dr. Grace Jonasson is a recent graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic and an exciting new addition to the practice. Trained in several of the most current and effective chiropractic techniques, she brings both fresh perspective and strong clinical skills to her care.
While she enjoys working with a wide range of patients, Dr. Grace has a special passion for perinatal and pediatric chiropractic. With advanced training in prenatal techniques, she is dedicated to supporting expectant mothers throughout every stage of pregnancy. Her gentle, targeted adjustments help ease discomfort, improve alignment, and support a healthier, more comfortable pregnancy journey.
Dr. Grace also offers postnatal care to help new moms recover and rebalance, while supporting the health and development of their newborns. Her goal is to make sure each patient—whether it’s a tired mom, a growing baby, or anyone in between—feels cared for, understood, and empowered on their path to better health.
Warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about holistic wellness, Dr. Grace is proud to be part of the next generation in this family-focused practice.

For over 20 years, Roseanna has been the heart and soul of our chiropractic office. As the office manager, she keeps everything running smoothly—usually before anyone else even realizes something needs to be done. Patients adore her (and we mean really adore her). So much so that when she’s not here, the whole place just feels... off.
Roseanna has a special gift for remembering names, stories, and even which grandkid just started kindergarten. She takes the time to truly get to know each patient, and it shows.
